Ingredients
- 5 c. unsifted flour
- 1 c. Crisco shortening
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. warm water
- 2 c. buttermilk
Method
- Dissolve yeast in warm water.
- Mix shortening into dry ingredients.
- Add yeast and buttermilk, cut like biscuits and fold over.
- Dip each one in melted butter.
- Place in a bread pan.
- Bake at 470° for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
