Ingredients
- 3 to 4 Tbsp. cocoa
- 2/3 c. milk
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. white corn syrup
- dash of salt
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Place cocoa and milk over low heat and stir until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth.
- Stir in sugar, corn syrup and salt.
- Cook until a soft ball is formed when portion is dropped in cold water.
- Remove from heat and add butter.
- Cool without stirring until lukewarm and add vanilla.
- Beat until thick and glossy, stir in pecans and spread in a buttered dish.
