Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 3/4 c. milk
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 c. sliced almonds, toasted
Method
- Pour sugar into a 10-inch heavy or cast-iron skillet; place over medium heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon until sugar melts and becomes light golden brown.
- Pour syrup into a 9-inch round cake pan.
- Set aside.
