Ingredients
- 1 gal. hamburger dill pickles, sliced
- 5 lb. sugar
- 1 1/4 oz. garlic flakes
- 1 (2 oz.) bottle Tabasco sauce
Method
- Drain pickles in colander for at least 45 minutes.
- Press out juice.
- In large bowl mix sugar, garlic flakes and Tabasco sauce. In wide mouth gallon jar, tightly pack alternate layers of pickles and sugar mixture.
- Fasten lid securely and set aside on counter. Every 24 hours for 5 days, turn jar upside down.
- Divide pickles into sterilized pint jars and seal.
- Chill before serving.
