Ingredients

  • 1 gal. hamburger dill pickles, sliced
  • 5 lb. sugar
  • 1 1/4 oz. garlic flakes
  • 1 (2 oz.) bottle Tabasco sauce

Method

  • Drain pickles in colander for at least 45 minutes.
  • Press out juice.
  • In large bowl mix sugar, garlic flakes and Tabasco sauce. In wide mouth gallon jar, tightly pack alternate layers of pickles and sugar mixture.
  • Fasten lid securely and set aside on counter. Every 24 hours for 5 days, turn jar upside down.
  • Divide pickles into sterilized pint jars and seal.
  • Chill before serving.
