Ingredients
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. milk
- 1 Tbsp. melted shortening
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Method
- Beat egg whites until stiff; set aside.
- Mix together yolks and the rest of ingredients; fold in egg whites.
- Cook on hot griddle or heavy frying pan until bubbly on top; turn once.
- Cook until golden brown.
- Serve with hot syrup and butter.
