Ingredients

  • 2 (15 oz.) cans refried beans
  • 1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chilies (not drained)
  • 16 oz. sour cream
  • 1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
  • 3 ripe avocados, pitted and peeled
  • 2 Tbsp. lime or lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • sliced green onions and olives

Method

  • In a small bowl, combine refried beans and chilies.
  • Spread on large serving plate.
  • Combine sour cream and taco seasoning. Spoon over bean mixture evenly.
  • In a small bowl mash avocados; stir in lime or lemon juice and salts.
  • Spoon evenly over sour cream.
  • Cover and chill several hours.
  • Just before serving, garnish with last 4 ingredients.
  • Serve with tortilla chips. Serves 15.
