Ingredients
- 15 oz fettuccine
- 4 1/2 tbsp butter
- 1 1/4 cups heavy cream
- 2 oz Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- None None fresh basil, torn (optional)
- None None crusty bread, to serve
Method
- Cook pasta in boiling salted water until al dente. Drain.
- Meanwhile, melt butter in a large frying pan over high heat. Add cream and 1 oz Parmesan. Bring to a simmer. Add pasta and nutmeg, season and toss to coat.
- Serve with remaining Parmesan, a few torn basil leaves, if desired, and crusty bread on the side.
