Ingredients

  • 3 doz. cooking apples, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 4 c. flour
  • 4 c. sugar
  • 52 oz. Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 4 sleeves round buttery crackers, crumbled
  • 2 c. margarine, melted

Method

  • Simmer apples in boiling water until tender. Remove from water; drain and place a layer in a buttered casserole dish. Combine remaining ingredients and sprinkle over apples. Repeat layering until all ingredients are used. Bake at 350° for 35 to 45 minutes.
