Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 lb. ground pork loin
  • 1/2 c. finely ground ham
  • 2 raw eggs
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 bread crumbs
  • chopped sweet pickles
  • 2 hard-cooked eggs
  • 2 Vienna sausages, cut in half lengthwise
  • chicken broth

Method

  • Mix the first 5 ingredients on a piece of cheesecloth.
  • Spread the mixture.
  • Arrange sliced pickles, hard-cooked eggs and sausages on mixture.
  • Roll into shape and wrap.
  • Tie both ends. Sew or tie the opening.
  • Cover with broth and simmer until done. Cool and unwrap before slicing.
  • Serve with tomato sauce.
