Ingredients

  • 8 slices white sandwich bread, crust trimmed
  • 8 oz. chive and onion cream cheese
  • 3 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 green peppers, chopped
  • 4 Tbsp. melted butter

Method

  • Roll slices of bread as thin as possible with a rolling pin. Lay trimmed bread slices on counter and cover with a damp towel for 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, saute chopped peppers until quite tender. Liberally spread bread slices with cream cheese.
  • Place a generous helping of green pepper on each slice and roll up.
  • Place seam side down on a buttered baking sheet.
  • Brush rolls with melted butter. Bake in the oven at 450° for 10 minutes or until golden brown, being careful not to burn the underside.
  • Serve immediately.
