Ingredients
- 8 slices white sandwich bread, crust trimmed
- 8 oz. chive and onion cream cheese
- 3 Tbsp. olive oil
- 2 green peppers, chopped
- 4 Tbsp. melted butter
Method
- Roll slices of bread as thin as possible with a rolling pin. Lay trimmed bread slices on counter and cover with a damp towel for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, saute chopped peppers until quite tender. Liberally spread bread slices with cream cheese.
- Place a generous helping of green pepper on each slice and roll up.
- Place seam side down on a buttered baking sheet.
- Brush rolls with melted butter. Bake in the oven at 450° for 10 minutes or until golden brown, being careful not to burn the underside.
- Serve immediately.
