Ingredients

  • 3 oz. Blue cheese
  • 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 c. butter, melted
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can asparagus spears, drained
  • 20 slices white bread, crust removed

Method

  • Use a rolling pin to flatten each slice of bread.
  • Mix cheese and egg in mixing bowl and spread evenly over bread and edges. Place asparagus on bread.
  • Roll up and secure with 3 toothpicks. Dip in melted butter.
  • Place on baking sheet and freeze. Partially thaw rolls and cut each roll into 3 equal parts.
  • Bake at 375° for 15 minutes.
  • Yield: 60 bites.
