Ingredients
- 12 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 qt. heavy cream
- 1 qt. milk
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- dash of nutmeg
Method
- Beat yolks of eggs; gradually add sugar, beating until thickened. Pour mixture in chilled bowl; place bowl on bed of ice. Whip the cream and milk.
- Add to egg yolks; set aside for a few minutes.
- Beat egg whites until stiff.
- Fold into yolk mixture. Add vanilla and nutmeg.
