Ingredients

  • 1 or 1 1/2 lb. hamburger
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 Tbsp. oregano
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar or Velveeta cheese
  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • 1 (8 to 10 oz.) pkg. egg noodles
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • Brown hamburger with onion.
  • Drain grease if necessary.
  • Add oregano, salt, pepper, soup and tomato sauce.
  • Turn down low to simmer.
  • Cook noodles as directed.
  • Drain and add to meat mixture or layer in casserole.
  • Top with cheese and bake at 350° until cheese melts but not browned.
  • Should be bubbly.
  • This freezes well, also.
