Ingredients

  • 6 c. granulated sugar
  • 3 c. canned milk
  • 1 c. Karo
  • 1/2 lb. candied cherries
  • 1/2 lb. candied pineapple
  • 1 lb. English walnuts, shelled

Method

  • Mix sugar, milk and Karo until well blended.
  • Cook to soft ball stage, stirring constantly with wooden spoon.
  • Remove from heat. Beat by hand or with electric mixer until mixture cools.
  • Add fruits and nuts.
  • Pour into pan lightly greased with butter.
  • Cut into squares when candy begins to get firm.
  • Store in refrigerator.
