Ingredients

  • 1 graham cracker pie crust
  • 1 large egg yolk, slightly beaten
  • 5 1/2 c. sliced, peeled apples
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. light brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/3 c. butter at room temperature

Method

  • Preheat oven to 375°.
  • Brush bottom and sides of crust evenly with egg yolk.
  • Bake on baking sheet until light brown, about 5 minutes.
