Ingredients

  • 1 large can pineapple rings, drained
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 c. melted oleo
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts (if desired)

Method

  • Grease a 9 x 13-inch glass baking pan.
  • Spread pineapple rings over the bottom of baking pan.
  • Pour pie filling over pineapple and spread evenly.
  • Sprinkle dry cake mix over filling.
  • Pour melted oleo over cake mix.
  • Top with chopped nuts (if desired). Bake at 350° for 45 minutes, or until evenly browned.
  • Serve as is, or with whipped cream, Cool Whip or ice cream.
