Ingredients

  • 1 large can crushed pineapple
  • 1 can cherry pie filling
  • 1 pkg. dry cake mix (yellow or white)
  • 2 sticks margarine or butter
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Method

  • Grease and flour a large 13 x 9-inch pan.
  • Spread 1 large can crushed pineapple over bottom of pan.
  • Cover with 1 can cherry pie filling.
  • Sprinkle 1 package dry cake mix (yellow or white) on top.
  • Melt 2 sticks of margarine or butter and pour over cake. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup chopped nuts.
  • Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. (Check cake for doneness.)
