Ingredients

  • 2 (4 serving size) pkg. chocolate pudding and pie filling (the kind you have to cook)
  • 3 1/2 c. milk
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. chocolate chips
  • 1 deep dish baked 9-inch pie shell, cooled

Method

  • Combine pie filling mix, milk, butter and chips in saucepan. Cook and stir the mixture over medium heat until mixture comes to a full bubbling boil.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Cool 5 minutes, stirring twice.
  • Pour into pie shell.
  • Place plastic wrap lightly over pie to avoid skin from forming.
  • Refrigerate 3 hours.
  • Garnish with whipped topping and grated chocolate.
