Ingredients

  • 6 medium green peppers
  • 1 lb. ground meat
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 2 c. hot cooked rice
  • 1 (8 oz.) jar Cheez Whiz
  • dash of pepper
  • dash of basil
  • 1/4 c. dry bread crumbs
  • 1 Tbsp. margarine, melted

Method

  • Remove tops and seeds from peppers.
  • Parboil 5 minutes; drain. Brown meat; drain.
  • Add onion and cook until tender.
  • Stir in cooked rice, cheese spread and seasonings; fill peppers.
  • Place in baking dish; top with crumbs tossed with margarine.
  • Bake at 350° for 40 minutes.
  • Serves 6.
