Ingredients
- 2 c. navy beans
- 1/4 lb. salt pork or bacon
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. mustard
- 2 Tbsp. molasses
- 1 small onion, cut up
Method
- Rinse beans.
- Cover with water overnight.
- In the morning, cook slowly until skins burst.
- Drain and save liquid.
- Put into roaster and add all ingredients.
- Cover and bake in slow bake at 250° to 300° until beans are tender.
