Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. deer steak, (1 1/2-inches thick)
- 2 large onions
- 2 Tbsp. fat or oil
- 1 1/2 c. water
- salt and pepper
- flour
Method
- Beat steaks with back of butcher knife or glass Coke bottle to tenderize.
- Dip into salt-pepper-flour mixture and fry in 2 tablespoons of oil or fat over medium-hot burner.
- Slice onions, thinly over steaks and pour in 1 1/2 cups water.
- Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
