Ingredients
- 3/4 c. butter
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 beaten egg
- 1/4 molasses
- 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. cloves
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. ginger
Method
- Preheat oven to 325°.
- Cream together the butter, brown sugar, egg and molasses; set aside.
- Sift the dry ingredients.
- Combine the ingredients and stir until smooth.
- Put dots of 1/8 teaspoon of dough 1 inch apart on greased cookie sheet and bake 5 to 6 minutes. Cool on rack.
- Cookies snap off if you twist the sheet slightly.
