Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 c. Baker's cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Method

  • Blend melted butter or margarine, sugar and vanilla in a mixing bowl.
  • Add eggs and beat well with a spoon.
  • Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt.
  • Gradually add to egg mixture until well blended.
  • Spread in greased 8-inch square pan.
  • Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes or until brownie begins to pull away from edges of pan.
  • Cool and cut into squares.
