Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef or pork
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp. poultry seasoning
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1 c. water
  • pastry for 2-crust 8-inch pie

Method

  • In saucepan combine all ingredients (except pastry).
  • Cover and simmer about 30 minutes.
  • Uncover and cook 10 minutes more. Preheat oven to 425°.
  • Line pie pan with pastry.
  • Pour in mixture and cover with remaining pastry.
  • Press edges together.
  • Prick top; bake pie 10 minutes.
  • Reduce heat to 350° and bake 30 minutes longer.
