Ingredients
- 14 to 15 lb. beef brisket
- 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 3 stalks celery, chopped
- 1 c. chili sauce
- 1 (12 oz.) can beer
- kaiser rolls
Method
- Brown brisket in a small amount of oil in Dutch oven.
- Drain; sprinkle with soup mix.
- Cover with onion rings and celery.
- Spoon chili sauce and 1/2 cup water around brisket.
- Bake covered at 350° for 45 minutes or until tender, basting occasionally over brisket. Refrigerate overnight.
- Skim.
- Slice brisket cross grain.
- Heat. Serve on kaiser rolls with sauce.
