Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 tsp. lemon extract
  • 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/4 c. milk

Method

  • Sift flour and measure.
  • Resift with baking powder and salt three times.
  • Cream butter and sugar.
  • Add eggs; beat until smooth and fluffy.
  • Stir in flavoring.
  • Add dry ingredients with milk, beginning and ending with flour.
  • Beat well.
  • Roll out and cut with a cookie cutter.
  • Bake at 375° until golden brown.
