Ingredients
- 3 cucumbers
- 1/2 c. white wine vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. dill weed
- 1/2 tsp. white pepper
- fresh tomato wedges (for garnish)
- 1 bunch green onions
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- butter or leaf lettuce
Method
- Slice cucumbers thin in bowl.
- Slice onions diagonally as thin as possible and add to cucumbers.
- Combine vinegar, sugar, dill weed, salt and pepper.
- Whisk with fork until well blended.
- Pour over onions and cucumbers.
- Turn with spatula to cover all pieces. Marinate 1 hour or more.
- Lift cucumbers from marinade.
- Serve on lettuce leaves.
- Garnish with tomato wedges.
