Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • Dash of pepper
  • 1/4 c. finely crushed saltines
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 4 beef cubed steaks (about 4 ounce. each)
  • 2 tbsp. veg. oil
  • 1 (8 ounce.) can pizza sauce

Method

  • Beat together egg, pepper and 1 Tbsp.
  • water.
  • Combine crumbs and 2 Tbsp.
  • of the cheese.
  • Dip steaks in egg mix, then into crumbs.
  • In skillet, brown the steaks in warm oil; drain off fat.
  • Pour in pizza sauce.
  • Cover and reduce heat.
  • Simmer 20 min, adding a little water if necessary to keep the sauce from sticking.
  • Sprinkle with the remaining 2 Tbsp.
