Ingredients

  • 1/2 bottle Heinz chili sauce (not cocktail)
  • 1 can tomato soup (Campbell's)
  • 1 lb. ground beef or turkey
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard
  • 3 Tbsp. vinegar
  • Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 stick butter
  • garlic salt
  • onion salt
  • pepper

Method

  • Brown ground beef or turkey in pan with chopped onion.
  • Add Lea & Perrins (about 3 shakes).
  • Add dash of garlic, onion and pepper.
  • Drain when finished cooking.
  • Into crock-pot, put 1/2 bottle of chili sauce, 1 can tomato soup, mustard, vinegar and 1 tablespoon Lea & Perrins.
  • Add ground beef or turkey with onion. Put 1 stick butter on top.
  • Cover and put on low for 4 to 6 hours or high for 1 to 2 hours (stir occasionally).
  • Season to taste as cooking.
  • Good after hot, but better the longer it's in.
