Ingredients
- 1 12 cups flour
- 1 12 cups wheat flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 14 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 14 cup oil
- melted butter
- coarse salt
- sesame seeds
- poppy seed (to garnish)
Method
- Heat oven to 350F.
- Mix flours, sugar, soda, salt.
- Stir in buttermilk and oil.
- Shape dough into 6 balls.
- Roll each ball into a 9 inch square on a lightly floured cloth covered board.
- Cut into squares or rough strips depending on the shape you want.
- Brush with butter and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Sprinkle with course salt and sesame or poppy seeds.
- Bake 8-10 minutes or until crisp and golden.
