Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. evaporated milk
- 1/2 c. cocoa
- 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
Method
- Mix sugar and cocoa in saucepan.
- Add milk.
- Cook over moderate heat, stirring constantly until it begins to boil.
- Boil for 3 minutes, or until a teaspoonful will form a soft ball in cold water.
- Add vanilla.
- Cool; beat until thick and creamy. Spread on cake.
- This is enough for 3 layers.
