Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 2 to 3 medium size onions, chopped
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- pinch of pepper
- 3 c. milk
- potatoes
Method
- Pan boil potatoes.
- Melt butter and add onions and cook gently until soft but not browned, 5 minutes.
- Stir in flour and seasonings.
- Remove from heat and slowly add milk.
- Stir until well blended.
- Place over heat and cook until smooth and thick, stirring constantly.
- Add potatoes, liquid and any other vegetables.
