Ingredients

  • 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, at room temperature
  • food color (as desired)
  • flavoring (as desired)
  • 2 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
  • granulated sugar

Method

  • Beat cream cheese until soft; add color and flavor (example: peppermint).
  • Gradually beat in confectioners sugar.
  • Knead the mixture until pie dough consistency (a soft or firmer candy can be made by adding or decreasing the amount of sugar).
  • Pinch off a small piece, form into a small marble sized ball and roll in granulated sugar.
  • Press the candy into a soft rubber mold and shape.
  • Remove excess and unmold at once onto waxed paper.
  • Makes 40 to 50 mints.
