Ingredients
- 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, at room temperature
- food color (as desired)
- flavoring (as desired)
- 2 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
- granulated sugar
Method
- Beat cream cheese until soft; add color and flavor (example: peppermint).
- Gradually beat in confectioners sugar.
- Knead the mixture until pie dough consistency (a soft or firmer candy can be made by adding or decreasing the amount of sugar).
- Pinch off a small piece, form into a small marble sized ball and roll in granulated sugar.
- Press the candy into a soft rubber mold and shape.
- Remove excess and unmold at once onto waxed paper.
- Makes 40 to 50 mints.
