Ingredients
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. cornstarch
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 3 egg yolks
- 2 3/4 c. milk
Method
- Mix sugar, cornstarch and salt.
- Beat egg yolks into milk and stir into dry mixture.
- Bring to a boil, stirring constantly over low to medium heat.
- (Note:
- You will have lumps if not very careful.)
- Boil 1 minute.
- Remove from heat and stir in 2 tablespoons margarine and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
- Cool.
