Ingredients

  • 2 small boxes Jiffy cornbread mix
  • 1 1/2 lb. lean ground meat or turkey meat
  • 2 cans creamed corn
  • 1 or 1 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions

Method

  • Brown meat
  • and
  • onions;
  • add salt and pepper to taste. Prepare cornbread
  • mix
  • as per instructions on box.
  • Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch cake.
  • On top of cornbread mixture, spread cooked meat, then two cans of creamed corn.
  • Cover evenly with grated cheese.
  • Bake
  • at
  • 375° for 30 minutes, then cover with foil and cook another 15 minutes so cheese does not burn.
