Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 Tbsp. Crisco oil
- 1 c. sifted regular flour
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/2 c. cooked whole kernel corn, drained
- Crisco oil for cooking
Method
- Beat egg with milk; stir in 1 tablespoon Crisco and corn.
- Add combined dry ingredients and stir just enough to evenly distribute the ingredients.
- Drop from tablespoon into Crisco oil; fry about 4 minutes.
- Drain on paper towel.
- Makes 12 to 16 fritters.
