Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 6 egg whites
- 2 c. crushed graham crackers
- 2 c. whipped cream
- 3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Beat egg white until frothy.
- Add cream of tartar, then gradually add sugar.
- Beat until stiff.
- Fold in graham crackers, nuts and vanilla.
- Spread in buttered 9 x 13-inch glass baking dish.
- Bake 25 minutes.
- Cool on rack.
- Spread whipped cream over top and spoon pie filling over cream.
- Chill.
