Ingredients
- 1 wide, soft loaf French bread, sliced (take out some of inner part of bread)
- 5 tsp. olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- black pepper, oregano and basil to taste
- 1 bell pepper, in rings
- 1 small onion, in rings
- 1 tomato, in rings
- 6 slices Provolone cheese
Method
- Drizzle olive oil on bread.
- Brush garlic on bread.
- Sprinkle black pepper, oregano and basil to taste on bread.
- Layer bell pepper, onion, tomato and Provolone cheese on bread.
- Add layer of sliced black olives.
- (May add any sliced meat of choice, if desired.)
- Wrap in plastic wrap 1 to 4 hours before serving. Serves 4.
