Ingredients

  • 1 envelope chicken noodle soup mix
  • 2 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 can tuna, drained
  • 2 c. canned peas, drained
  • 1/2 c. buttered bread crumbs

Method

  • Preheat oven to 450°.
  • In a small saucepan, combine soup mix and water.
  • Heat to boiling.
  • In a medium saucepan, over low heat, melt butter; blend in flour and pepper.
  • Gradually stir in hot soup and cook until thickened.
  • Add tuna and fold in peas.
  • Turn into a greased 1 1/2-quart dish.
  • Top with buttered bread crumbs. Bake 15 minutes until heated through.
