Ingredients
- 1 fryer chicken
- 10 c. coarse cornbread crumbs
- 2 c. light bread crumbs
- 3 tsp. poultry seasoning
- 2 tsp. sage
- 1 c. onions, chopped fine
- 1 c. celery, chopped fine
- 2 tsp. salt
Method
- Salt chicken with the 2 teaspoons salt.
- Cover with water. Cook until tender; debone chicken.
- Put bread crumbs, seasoning, onions and celery in 11 x 14-inch baking dish.
- Pour broth over. You may need to add 1 can chicken broth or some water and 1/2 cup butter.
- Mix well.
- Have dressing the consistency of cornbread. Add chicken.
- Bake at 375° for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
