Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2 c. hot water
- 1/4 c. Heinz 57 sauce (optional)
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 can tomatoes, cut into bite size pieces
- salt (if desired)
- pepper
- 1 c. uncooked macaroni
Method
- Brown beef and onion.
- Drain off fat.
- Stir in water and next 5 ingredients.
- Add macaroni.
- Mix well and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer, uncovered, 15 to 20 minutes.
- Stir occasionally and cook until macaroni is tender.
- Makes 5 servings.
