Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. bulk breakfast sausage
- 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/3 to 1/2 c. ice water
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. mixed Italian dried herbs
- 2/3 c. vegetable shortening
- Hot Dipping Pizza Sauce
Method
- Brown meat in frying pan.
- Drain excess fat.
- Combine flour, cheese, herbs and salt in mixing bowl.
- Cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add sausage.
- Mix until evenly distributed.
- Sprinkle with ice water and stir until dough is just moist enough to handle.
