Ingredients
- 2 c. sifted self-rising flour
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. buttermilk
- 1/2 c. raisins
Method
- Preheat oven to 500°.
- Sift dry ingredients into bowl.
- Cut shortening until coarse crumbs form.
- Add milk and raisins; mix well.
- Place on lightly floured surface, knead gently 10 to 12 times.
- Roll dough and cut out biscuits.
- Put on ungreased cookie sheet.
- Place in oven for 10 minutes.
