Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 2 to 3 tsp. chili powder
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 2 (1 lb.) cans kidney beans
  • 1 small can mushrooms
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. vinegar

Method

  • Cook the beef, onion and seasonings until meat is browned. Add remaining ingredients.
  • Cover and cook over low heat for 30 minutes.
  • (My kids love this over spaghetti.
  • We top it with some shredded Cheddar cheese.
