Ingredients

  • 1 c. uncooked rice
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 lb. ground pork
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 c. celery, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 1/3 c. soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

Method

  • Pour 2 1/2 cups boiling water over rice.
  • Let stand while preparing other ingredients.
  • Brown meat and onion together (drain fat).
  • Add Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce and celery.
  • While browning, add soup and brown sugar to rice mixture.
  • Stir together.
  • Pour into casserole and cover.
  • Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
