Ingredients
- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 c. cocoa
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 3 c. quick oats
Method
- In large bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in eggs and vanilla.
- Combine flour, cocoa, salt and baking soda.
- Add to mixture, mixing well with spoon.
- Stir in oats and nuts.
- Batter will be stiff.
- Drop by round tablespoon or 3/4 inch balls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350° for 11 to 12 minutes or until set.
- Cookies will be slightly moist in center. Cool 1 minute before removing from cookie sheet to wire rack.
