Ingredients

  • FOR THE SCONES:
  • 2 cups All-purpose Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1/2 cups Sugar
  • 6 Tablespoons Cold Unsalted Butter, Cut Into Chunks
  • 1/2 cups Chopped Dried Apricots
  • 1/2 cups Semisweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 cups Plus 2 Tablespoons Cream

  • FOR THE CHOCOLATE DRIZZLE:
  • 1/2 cups Chocolate Chips

Method

  • Preheat oven to 425°F.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Cut in the butter with your fingers and work mixture together until it resembles coarse sand. Add the chopped apricots and chocolate chips.
  • Add the cream and mix with your hands until a dough forms. Make an 8-inch circle with the dough and slice into 12 small wedges. Place wedges on a lined baking sheet and bake for 16-18 minutes, until golden brown.
  • For the chocolate drizzle, melt the chocolate chips in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until melted. Put melted chocolate in a small plastic bag, snip off the tip and drizzle scones with chocolate.
