Ingredients

  • 2 pound grnd beef
  • 2 (15 ounce.) cans kidney beans
  • 2 (15 ounce.) cans tomato sauce
  • 2 (4 ounce.) cans sliced mushrooms
  • 1 lg. onion, minced
  • 1 (6 ounce.) can pitted ripe olives, liquid removed and minced
  • 1/4 c. chili pwdr, less for mild flavor
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 2 tbsp. horseradish mustard
  • 1 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon garlic pwdr
  • 1 teaspoon sage
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon grnd cumin (optional)

Method

  • In a large kettle, brown meat.
  • Drain fat.
  • Add in the remaining ingredients and bring to boil.
  • Reduce heat.
  • Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
