Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. ground round beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves chopped garlic
- 2 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (16 oz.) can red kidney beans
- 1/2 to 1 tsp. oregano (optional)
- seasoned salt to taste
Method
- Brown the beef in a large frypan.
- Drain.
- Add onion and garlic and cook until tender.
- Stir in chili powder and seasonings.
- Add tomatoes with juice and tomato sauce.
- Simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes.
- Rinse the beans and add to the chili. Cook 10 minutes more.
- Serves 4.
