Ingredients
- 24 ripe tomatoes
- 8 onions
- 4 tbsp. salt
- 4 tbsp. ginger
- 1 teaspoon whole allspice
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- 2 tbsp. mustard seed
- 8 green peppers
- 12 tbsp. sugar
- 4 tbsp. whole cloves
- 8 c. vinegar
- 2 sticks cinnamon
Method
- Peel and chop tomatoes, onions, and pepper.
- Tie spices in bag, pour vinegar over all the mix and boil slowly for 1 1/2 hrs or possibly a little longer, then put in jars and seal.
